Heather, I’m sure you get these all the time, but thank you for the content that you produce. I am the Executive Director for a small nonprofit and heard you first on the Tim Ferriss podcast. I downloaded every podcast you had done recently because I loved your mindset. We do a trip from Washington to South Dakota every year (we work globally) and we have been battered by storms the past two years. This year (while tent camping) we got weather alerts for tornadoes, golf ball sized hail, and 60 mph wind, and tried to wait it out. We thought we were in the clear and went back to camp and another storm cell came through camp and tore out the road and flooded us out. I brought us into the nearest city to get hotel rooms for the team. I remembered the story you told on one of your podcast appearances about asking for discounted rooms and we got ours for more than 40% off each room and got free breakfasts in the restaurant. I would have never have thought to do this before hearing you and just wanted to say thank you and that your views of confidence are so impactful to me personally and our organization. It seems trivial but I have a whole team that is excited to get back to work instead of being soggy and upset and it didn’t hurt our bottom line at all.

This new podcast has been a great addition to my commute to and from work, which is an hour each way. Heather is very real, passionate, and enthusiastic about her work. Hearing how she has handled so much adversity and come out on top has been an inspiration. I always learn so many things from both her and her guests. The podcast with Ryan Serhant is a must. I look forward to many future podcasts she records.

I have some similar tales from the corporate world and last year left a prestigious, well-paying job to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I know that while I learned so much from my corporate experience, the headaches outweighed the benefits – cheated out of commissions, toxic environments, being put in positions to lie to customers and partners – compromising my ethics, integrity and health. I knew it was time to leave and everyone (except my husband) thought I was crazy to resign with nothing lined up. The sabbatical has been amazing and has helped me to heal and to take positive steps towards starting my own integrative executive coaching practice.

This is where you, your book and podcast come in – as you know starting up a business, going at in alone is not easy. Where to start? what to do? am I crazy? all of these thoughts and so much more. I love that your podcasts topics are mirroring the questions in my head – especially about public speaking engagements with Kindra Hall – amazing!

I recently attended a conference where Heather Monahan was a key not me speaker and her story really motivated me. It’s ok to fail. It’s ok to not be perfect. It’s not ok to quit. Her podcasts are helpful and inspiring and I hope you enjoy them too.

I discovered Heather’s Podcast when browsing through top charts. I was immediately captivated from the first episode. Each episode is engaging and encouraging. I encourage anyone who may be going through a rut, or anyone that just needs some motivation to give this podcast a listen. You won’t be disappointed!

I came across this admirable woman by accident, and what a blessing! As a business woman in the rat race of corporate America, Heathers book, and podcast have given me the quint essential “man up” speech I’ve needed to no longer allow my self worth to be diminished by unhealthy co workers. Because of her influence and wise words, I’ve quit a bad job and accepted a position with a company who has genuine interest in my success. Thank you, Heather.
